About the Author

Scott Lewis is a dad, storyteller, and hospitality professional who’s explored many of America’s most iconic outdoor destinations through his work and travels. Originally from the Midwest, he now lives in Southern California with his wife, daughter, and son.

Harvey Hits the Road was inspired by his late boxer dog, Harvey, and his newfound joy of discovering the outdoors through RV travel with his own young family. The book series is grounded in the life lessons Scott hopes to share with his children — lessons about wonder, patience, resilience, respect, and the beauty of the natural world.

About the Illustrator

Ken is an illustrator, photographer and all-around national park enthusiast. Having personally visited all 63 U.S. national parks himself, Ken brings firsthand experience and passion to his work on Harvey Hits the Road. Ken currently lives in Monument, Colorado with his two dogs, Jennie and Pippa.
